What I build
Explore the possibilities
Next.js is what I reach for when a project outgrows a normal website - or when speed genuinely matters. Everything is custom-coded, so the only limit is what your business actually needs. Pick an area to see what that looks like.
Web apps, portals & dashboards
When your business runs on spreadsheets, email chains, and "can you just check the system?", a custom web app pays for itself fast. Customer portals, internal dashboards, booking and quoting tools - with logins, roles, and the exact workflow your team follows.
- Customer portals & member areas
- Secure logins, roles & permissions
- Internal dashboards & admin tools
- Booking, quoting & workflow systems
- Stripe payments & subscriptions

FAQ
Custom development questions, answered
Anything where the website does work, not just describes it - customer portals, booking and quoting systems, dashboards, member areas, online tools, and integrations between systems. If you've ever said "we need something like X, but for our business", that's usually a custom web app. Plain marketing sites can be custom-built too, when speed and polish matter.
Custom web apps start from £5,000, and business websites built with Next.js from £2,500. The real number depends on scope, which is exactly what the discovery call pins down - you get a written scope and fixed price before any work starts, so there are no surprise invoices.
Practical ones: chat assistants trained on your own content and documents, automated data extraction and categorisation, smart search, content generation with human review, and workflow automation. I build with the Claude and OpenAI APIs. Just as importantly, I'll tell you when AI isn't the answer - plenty of "AI projects" are better solved with a well-designed form.
Different tools for different jobs. WordPress is ideal when your team needs to manage pages and content day-to-day. Next.js wins when the project is an application - logins, dashboards, real-time data, complex integrations - or when performance is a priority. Headless setups combine both. I build with all of them, so the recommendation is based on your project, not my preference.
Yes - completely. On final payment the code, the repositories, and all the accounts are yours. There's no licence fee, no platform lock-in, and no dependency on me. Most clients stay on a care plan because it's convenient, not because they have to.
Every build includes your first month of the Standard care plan free - hosting, monitoring, updates, and a couple of hours for changes. After that, care plans run month-to-month from £60 with no contract. For ongoing feature development, the retainer gives you 17 or 35 hours of senior development every month.
