The FoodFellas Build
The FoodFellas website was handed over to me more than eight years ago, built on a custom WordPress theme. I didn’t build the original, but I’ve been the one keeping it running and moving it forward ever since. The early work was about making it safe and dependable: moving the site onto a reliable virtual private server that I set up and host, tracking down long-standing bugs and closing security holes. From there I built on top of it - expanding the product catalogue so new ranges could be added and browsed properly, adding data collection so the team could capture enquiries and leads, and creating landing pages for launches and campaigns. Along the way I’ve reworked performance so pages load noticeably faster, and improved SEO across the site so it gets found by the buyers it’s meant for.
What I've Done
- Took over and extended an existing custom WordPress theme.
- Migrated the site to a VPS I set up and host.
- Fixed long-standing bugs across the theme and site.
- Hardened WordPress and the server against security issues.
- Expanded the product catalogue to handle new ranges.
